Upper-body rotational exercise/cycling has been relatively unpracticed and unappreciated in health clubs. Without an exciting piece of equipment to engage people’s interest, there has never been the opportunity to develop popular appeal.  Research shows, however, that arm cranking can develop upper bodies not only in strength and endurance, but also in performance ability and increased O2 absorption, increasing metabolism and overall vitality.

Kranking® requires full engagement of arm, shoulder, chest and back muscles.  Stabilizers include all musculature in the torso, primarily the abdominals and low back, and the rotator cuff muscles in the shoulder.  In a standing position, the muscles of the lower body also engage for increased balance and stability.

The most important innovation of the  are the independent crankarms.  This patented modification eliminates the fixed position of the Kranks at 180º. Each arm can drive the , but one arm cannot assist the other. This forces the use of ALL of the muscles of the upper body in a balanced and coordinated fashion.
